Building a Clean, Green Future

At Tees Valley Lithium, sustainability isn’t an add-on — it’s engineered into every decision we make.

our efforts
Our approach focuses on industrial decarbonisation, ensuring that our operations contribute to reducing carbon emissions while strengthening the European supply chain.
TVL is enabling Europe’s shift to clean energy. We are pioneering a sustainable model that not only supports the growing demand for critical battery materials but also aligns with broader climate goals.
Lithium products

Designed to deliver high-performance lithium products

Powered by Renewables

Our facility will run on low-carbon electricity from offshore wind at Dogger Bank, one of the largest renewable energy sources in Europe. This drastically cuts lifecycle emissions and aligns our output with the needs of net-zero battery supply chains.

Circular Economy Aligned

TVL is designed to minimise waste and maximise reuse, ensuring we operate as part of a broader circular industrial ecosystem, reducing environmental impact while supporting local value chains.

We will:

  • Reuse wastewater within our operations to reduce freshwater use and discharge
  • Recover by-products from lithium refining that can be sold into other industries — turning waste into economic opportunity
  • Integrate strategies that prioritise closed-loop systems and reduce the need for landfill disposal

Transparent Supply Chains

Every tonne of lithium refined at TVL will be fully traceable from mine to market. We work only with responsible suppliers and commit to the highest environmental and ethical standards - aligning with EU battery passport requirements and ESG reporting expectations.
This is more than a refinery.  It’s the foundation of
Europe's clean energy future — made in Teesside, built for tomorrow.
